Hi, I'm interested in getting a Monroe sectional with two ottomans in about 3 weeks. I've been looking everywhere for the size and color I want and need for my home. Everything has leather, light, fabrics,etc... I've reading this forum for about 3 hrs now trying to convince my self that it's really worth it ,but I just really think maybe I'm being to much of a skeptic. Is this furniture really comfortable? Will I be able to keep this furniture for at least 3-4 years? The wood ? Is there enough cushion to not feel the wood? If anyone would like to offer some advice or something I would greatly appreciate it....Thanks.....

I signed up just to tell you YES!!!! it's really worth it! I have had my Classic chair in Merlot Pet Care fabric for over two years. I use a cheapie lint roller that I buy at the Dollar store (the 'tape on a stick style) and the cat hair come right off. I've washed the fabric four times and it's looks good as new.

I finally realized the back cushion was reversible and I flipped it around today since it was looking a little low and I'll be darned if it doesn't look and feel brand new again! 3-4 years is nothing for this furniture, we just repainted and I just got my swatches to order new fabric to work in the new decor. The old fabric is fine, I just want a change and for less than $100. Try getting a traditional piece recovered for that price!

Absolutely Yes!

This is our (and our 4 cats') daily use furniture. It gets more of a beating than any other furniture in the house.
We've had it for over 3 years, now and finally are did reupholster all of the furniture in one evening.

This was done partly for a new decor and partly because one cat insists on using it as a scratching post, hence our purchase of a pet resistant fabric. For the pet damage, we could have flipped ends and had another 3 years from the fabric, but a new decor was the overriding factor.
We have had $1000 big name sofas/chair sets that did not stand up as well and were less comfortable! I expect this furniture will outlast my stay on this Earth!

We've had our cricket nutmeg monroe sofa and chair and ottoman for FIVE years and with a few washings and plumping up of the cushions it looks and feels like the day we bought. This is a GREAT deal and well worth the money. The wood is cheap particle/wafer board but you don't see and it is durable... trust me I have two children and two large dogs and we are the neighbourhood hangout. one front piece did snap after an overly aggressive wrestling match but i just cut out a new one with my jigsaw and viola brand new again ...... try doing that with a sofa from Sears.
