I was wondering if there was anyone out there that was not happy with their Home Reserve Furniture. I have had my sofa, loveseat and two ottomans for over a year and I hate them. I find them very uncomfortable. I purchased the upgraded cushions and they are so flat that I can feel the wood underneath them. My "tush" goes numb from it and my back hurts whenever I sit on them (I have had others complain about their backs hurting after they sat on them also). I find that the slip covers look sloppy and have to be constantly adjusted, especially the ones covering the seat cushions. The ottomans had hard sides and sharp corners, so my husband, kids and I have all had injuries due to them. The base on one of the seat have broken, so if any one other than a child sit there, the cusion caves into the frame. The velcro on all the slip covers show and the front slip covers never fit into the notches correctly. I love the mix and match concept and the ability to change styles. In fact, I purchased extra slip covers and arm style along with the back cushions and the upgraded seat cushions, so I invested a lot into this set that I will be replacing. I just thought there should be a forum for those of us that are not happy with the product they received from Home Reserve.

I'm in the same boat as you. The couch really isn't very comfortable to sit on for long periods, I find myself having to readjust because the foam compresses and becomes rock hard.

I'm willing to deal with the couch being uncomfortable as the price was right, and it's on the only couch that would fit into my apartment (they didn't make hallways very wide in 1905 when my building was built)

My issue with the couch is it just wont stay together, I've rebuilt it a few times now, I've glued all the black pieces in, but it just wont stay together. The main support boards under the cushions fall through constantly. If you look at the design you can see why, the main support boards need to rest perfectly on a half width vertical thin plywood. The tolerance is just way to tight, anytime the couch flexes the boards shift and fall apart.

I'm at the point now were I need to either replace the couch or go to home depot and try to re-enforce the fame with 2x4s.

The only reason to buy Home Reserve furniture is if you look forwards to and enjoy "Couch Maintenance"
