So I was going to give a play-by-play of putting the sofa together because I thought fans of HR would like that. Then I realized that I was probably putting too much thought into this whole sofa blog thing.

It's been about a week with our new sofa and we love it. We got the corner sectional. It was easy and fun to put together. Luckily we had a power screwdriver that my parents have just given us as a housewarming present. That came in handy as did the gloves. We loved the Mission Chocolate color. It goes very nicely with the mint green pillows I got on clearance at Kmart. The sectional is very comfortable. However, it is a little smaller than we expected so within the next couple months we'll probably order another chair to add on and may order arms for the sofa since right now we just have the end panels and no arms.

I love that we can expand and change the furniture as our family expands and our needs change. What an awesome concept. I've been spreading the word on HR and everyone seems to love the idea. But some are squeamish about assembling their own furniture. The hardest part is picking the style when I think back. But the awesome part is you can always change it. Can you do that with your sofa from Ethan Allen??

Anywho, we're doing well and hope all is well in the HR community.

Welcome to Home Reserve!

We are just changing the fabric an look of our living room after 3 years of using our HR furniture.

And to think, this stuff is being built in my grandparent's original homestead farm town and none of those that still live in Ft. Wayne/Huntington area ever heard of Home Reserve!
